Kourosh Tahami to observe Night of Decree

Iranian actor Kourosh Tahami says he will observe the third Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr) despite busy acting schedule.

He disclosed this in a local media interview Wednesday, adding he will passionately attend the Nights of Decree every year as long as he is alive.

The rituals of Laylat al-Qadr include keeping vigil, performing prayers and reading the Holy Quran, among others.

Muslims consider the Qadr nights as the holiest nights of the year. The nights fall either on the 19th, 21st and 23rd of the holy month of Ramadan.

Also known as the Night of Power, the occasion marks the time when the Holy Quran was first revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in one of the Qadr nights.
